Happy Easter
While scavenging around my porch for some crystals; I was quite surprised to find a little gift left behind by a wandering hummingbird. Last spring  I was  delighted to find an occupied hummingbird nest  next to our house. Though a rare treat,  it was in tree. I stumbled upon this little hummingbird nest unexpectedly in my chandelier! 

The flea market chandelier was festooned with robins egg opalescent drops,vintage crystals,  metal vines & flowers and painted a soft white. Maybe this little bird has a thing for shabby chic rather than natural beauty.  The empty nest is a sweet reminder that our shelter was briefly a peaceful haven for our feathered friends.
